After climbing the Route du Razal (the Le Razal road), running alongside the fields of lavender of the Saint Remèze Plateau, plunge on to the Pont d’Arc, with an exceptional view over the Ardèche gorges. The ultimate reward – a swim under the natural arch of the Pont d’Arc. The 1/2 day course is advised.

Reconstruction of the Grotte Chauvet Cave
This reconstruction is an exact replica of part of the cave. The site comprises a thousand paintings and engravings, including 447 animal representations of various species. Thanks to dating, its occupation has been estimated at -37,000 to 33,500 B.C. The Cave (the original one) is nowadays classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located in the Ardèche gorge, close to the Pont d’Arc…

Saint Remèze enjoys a perfect geographical location, between the Dent de Rez massif, the Ardèche gorge and the Rhône valley. Surrounded by fields of lavender, olive Trees and vineyards, the village “breathes” Provence.

Viewpoint of the Serre de Toure – Pont d’Arc
The most visited natural site in the Ardèche, the Pont d’Arc culminates at 54 metres high by 60 metres wide. It was hollowed out by water, hundreds of millions of years ago, and for a long time has served as a natural bridge used by Man to cross the river! Today it is the icon of the Southern Ardèche.
